Terri Cheff

Drawing from my core values of family, optimism, grit, and flow, I center my passion on empowering others through technology. Rather than simply being a technologist, I thrive as a teacher, enabling others to harness the power of technology for their benefit. With a background rooted in technology, from a small startup to Microsoft, and now with a diverse group of companies at Washington Companies, I believe in the power of diverse teams to provide different perspectives, accelerate learning, and provide powerful solutions.

I actively volunteer in opportunities that help kids get excited about careers in technology, as well as organizations that support young women in technology, such as Chick-Tech and other non-profits with their technology needs. One of my many roles is serving on the Leadership Montana Board of Governors. I get the privilege and opportunity to help foster leadership across our great state with the core mission to Listen, Learn, and Lead.

I don’t subscribe to the concept of work-life balance; instead, I embrace the idea of flow. Life is dynamic, with moments where everything clicks and you’re rocking it, and other times when life throws you a curveball, making you say, “WTF.” Embracing flow allows me to adapt through both the highs and the lows.
