Membership Cancellation Policy

The Missoula Businesswomen’s Network (MBN) reserves the right to refuse or cancel a membership. If MBN refuses a new or renewing membership, registrants will be offered a refund.

Our membership operates on a 12-month consecutive term. Members are committed to this full term, with cancellation options only available at the end of the 12 months.

Cancellation Terms:

  1. Cancellation Period: Members may cancel their membership only at the conclusion of their 12-month term. Cancellations are not permitted before the end of this term, unless under exceptional circumstances.
  2. Exceptional Circumstances: If you need to cancel before completing the 12-month term, please submit a request detailing your special circumstances. Such requests will be reviewed by our Board of Directors. Approval for early cancellation is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis through a voting process by the board.
    • If a cancellation is allowed and the member has made an annual payment, a prorated amount of any duration not used will be refunded. (e.g. if a member pays an annual membership for January-December and a cancellation is approved in June, the member will be refunded for July-December costs)
  3. Membership Pause: Members may request to pause their membership once per 12-month term, for a maximum duration of 3 months. Each pause request will be considered individually and must be submitted with adequate justification.

    During a membership pause, the member will not have access to their member benefits.
